FREE BINS for qualifying applicants

Compost NOW received a grant from EPNO (Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans) which allows us to give away a limited number of backyard compost bins and indoor worm bins to applicants from historically under-served and under-resourced communities who are unable to purchase or create a system on their own. The EPNO Environment & Sustainability team supports organizations which "aim to improve environmental conditions for marginalized communities". In the grant application, Compost NOW expressed concern over the prohibitive cost of purchasing compost or healthy soil for many residents, and recognized not everyone can afford to buy a compost bin or invest in composting infrastructure.
